LOCAL SKIING

Monts D'Olmes - The most local Resort to our house, JUST 9 MILES AWAY. There is a local bus from the village square which takes you directly to the resort.

With more than 23 Kilometres of Piste. Nestled in a beautiful location at an altitude 2000mts. With 12 Ski lifts, a 'Freestyle' snow park, Cross country course and 'Free space course', where you can ski between the conifers in an all natural environment.  Luge and snowboarding is permitted too.Equipment hire is plentiful from a number of different hire shops.

Ax Les Thermes - In the heart of the Valleys of Ax, this resort is a must visit. In the winter the skiing is outstanding. In the summer, the beautiful town has a variety of shops and attractions. 
Ski information: Altitude-1400m-2400m, 75 km of pistes (5 green, 5 blue, 11 red, 2 black), 10 ski-lifts, 5 chair-lifts,  80 snow-blowers. Alpine skiing, snow surfing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and for the little ones (3 years and older) acro-bungy (trampoline and elastics). Skiing professionals are especially trained to accompany them in full safety. Ski school, shops, restaurants & bars.
Le Domaine du Chioula: (1240m-1650m) In the middle of a forested and preserved environment. The winter landscape is exceptional. 60 km of cross-country skiing tracks (2 green, 2 blue, 2 red, 1 black),
Ascou-Pailhères: (1500m-2000m) : Family resort, ideally suited for beginners. 15 tracks (3 green, 4 blue, 6 red, 2 black), 1 chair-lift, 5 ski-lifts, 10 snow-blowers. On site: Skiing school, restaurants, equipment rental.
Plateau de Beille (1800m-2000m)  65 km of cross country tracks (1 green, 4 blue, 5 red, 2 black), 10 km of snowshoeing tracks, a sledge route (4 tracks) and pedestrians routes. At the Adventure base “Angaka”, you can take off on sledge trip with huskies
